Instead of sitting around feeling sorry for myself on my 40th birthday complaining how old I am, my husband and I went down to Bermuda for a long weekend.  One of my favorite spots!

Ireland -Where my Husband and I Met

In 2000, I went to Ireland for 3 weeks.  I started out in Cork, ended up in Dublin, and stopped for a week to go sailing in Baltimore.  During that week, I met my husband, so yes, it was a great trip.  The second trip to Ireland-- of many, many trips there to come. One of the best was the trip we took to get married and another was the first trip we took with a third person, our daughter.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles- Honeymoon trip 2006

For 30 days, my husband and I packed two bags, rented a car, and headed out. 30 days and 15,000 miles later, we finished our Gran Voyage by arriving at our local stop on the LIRR.

One of the most intense trips I have ever taken is a 9 week sail I did with my husband from Galicia, Spain to Gibraltar via the West Coast of Portugal.  We (mostly he) sailed a 39 ft. gaft cutter.  Here's the boat that took us there!
